Love the Ranch Western

Fred and Eric I want to thank you for your excellent service. I got the new stirrup leathers today. I purchased a new Steele Ranch Western Trail Saddle and needed the stirrup leathers changed. You asked what I wanted and made a new set exactly like I needed.  I already had been riding a Steele Classic saddle so I was sure I would like the ride but wanted a saddle with a more traditional look.   The Steele Ranch Western trail saddle is exactly what I wanted. I have always liked a slick seat saddle but it was almost impossible to find a trail saddle with the western look and a slick seat. The Ranch Western Saddle is the only one I have found. I would recommend your saddles to anyone.  – Tom

I have never regretted buying a Steele Trail Saddle

I purchased my Steele trail saddle a number of years ago and I absolutely love it. It fits my horse and I so well. I ordered the shorter stirrup leathers and they fit me perfectly. It was an investment that I have never regretted. The leather is beautiful, smooth, and supple and the saddle is as beautiful now as it was when I bought it. The Steele demo/trial saddle was the selling point. I rode for 2 days at a trail ride in the demo saddle and I was the only person at the ride who was not in pain by the end of the two days! I love this saddle!

It is the most comfortable saddle I have ever ridden in! I love the deep seat. I think the small fits me well and that’s what I want to go with for my custom saddle.  I just submitted the 12 photos of the Steele Trail demo saddle.  I am excited about finally getting a saddle that fits my horse. We both ride Steele Trail Saddles, and LOVE them!

We bought our first Steele trail saddle in 1998, my husband was riding an OLD Heiser saddle which did not fit many of our horses. He is REALLY hard to please, however I ordered him a new Steele Outlaw trail saddle for Christmas. He still rides the saddle today it has thousands of trail miles and still looks great. We have Missouri Foxtrotters all built differently and this saddle does well on all of them.

I have ridden Marciante saddles for 20+ years and love them but they are almost a flat seat. So finally in the Fall of 2011 – I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a Steele trail saddle for myself the Steele Trail Boss Saddle model.

I love this saddle it has the smaller horn which works great for me because I am used to no horn. I also got the new lighter tree and I can saddle myself. After I got the new trail saddle the stirrups would hardly adjust short enough so I contacted Eric and sent the leathers back he shortened them at no charge and got them right back to me in just a few weeks.

One more note, you hardly ever see a used Steele trail saddle for sale and I am convinced it is because the people who have them LOVE them and hardly ever part with them. I’d love to get my husband a new Steele Outlaw saddle, but he won’t have it. He says his outlaw is like a favorite pair of boots they are worn in and fit him perfect!

Just received my new saddle. It’s beautiful!

My favorite Steele Saddle

Out of the three Steele Trail saddles I own, my favorite is the Steele Moutaineer with western fenders.  My friend Kay from NC came and rode with me this summer and fell in love with this saddle so much, she just placed an order for one.  Anyone that ever rides in it who rides with me, falls in love.  This photo was taken in West Virginia and the horse is Dakota, 7 year old Rocky Mountain horse.
