Steele Mountaineers aren’t just for trail riding! Spirit of Gravedigger can rack freely and comfortably in her show saddle: a black, blingy Steele Mountaineer! This four-year-old Spotted Saddle Horse/Speed Racking Horse won her 2nd state championship last weekend at the Florida Walking and Racking Horse Association State Championship Show in Ocala, Florida. Spirit was born, raised, and trained at Spotted Dance Ranch in Brooksville, Florida. Her co-owner, Kym Rouse Holzwart, rode Spirit in both state championship wins (2021 Novice Gaited Horse State Champion and 2022 Barefoot Gaited Horse State Champion) in one of the many Steele Mountaineers that she owns.
