1,000 thanks to Steele Saddle,

Here’s some excitement coming up. Fred and Eric so kindly agreed to make a plantation saddle adapted to my special riding needs – I’m a para equestrian, and literally ride by the seat of my pants – i.e. very little leg use, means I’ve developed a truck and seat that use a lot of ti chi kinda balance.
That can be so enhanced by the deep seat and contour of the cantle and by some cool additions to my pommel on the plantation model – it will have metal hand grabs on either side, because however great of a horse, and balanced of a seat I might have, there’s always the unexpected ! LOL – and on steep or rough terrain, knowing I have sturdy grips at 3 O’Clock and 9 O’Clock on the pommel means I can push my butt firmly in the seat and go into wilderness, I couldn’t other wise see.
Fred’s even making the skirts after the beautiful shapes of Ladies’s astride saddles of days gone by. Can’t wait to have it and pictures are forthcoming. The design is something that might appeal to able bodied (but middle aged) endurance riders who want to ensure their seat on rugged stretches – or one of these para saddles would be a fabulous gift to any therapeutic riding programs you support.
1000 thanks to the Steele Saddle for making this happen for me. It means the world ! Kathy

Racking Horses, Steele Saddle

Great horses with phenomenal speed.  These two racking horses were resting at the Cumberland Trail Head in Big South Fork, Tennessee with Steele trail saddles.  A true testimonial to comfort on the trail.

Thank you for choosing Steele Trail Saddles and happy trails to you.

I’d sell my horse before my saddle,

Bandy Creek Big Southfork riding Memorial Day Weekend we met Cheri and Roger Parks from Decatur Tennessee who were proud to show us their trail saddles by Steele.  It is always a pleasure to talk horses and especially so when you get a compliment of this size.  They had tried multiple saddles, but for comfort and quality they are quite firm in their choice of Steele trail saddles.

Thank you from Steele

I’ve ridden a Steele for 8 years

For 8 years I have ridden in a plantation saddle with a Cheyenne roll, Western fenders and rigging. I purchased it used and went for a week horse camping. Our trail riding was 8 to 12 hours per day. Never once did I feel the need to ‘walk’!!! Or stretch my legs, or take a break. I was never sore and always comfortable. This prompted me to purchase a Steele Western saddle, then when I showed my Rocky Mountain Horse, I purchased another from Steele Saddle at the RMHA International Show. I will always use a Steele Trail Saddle. It is for me the most outstanding saddle I have ever ridden!!! And my Rockies like it too!!

Trail Saddle Used is a Plantation with Cheyenne Roll, western fenders & rigging.

Note:  Please, please come back to the RMHA International. We miss you!  The International this year is September 10 to 14 and it will be our 25th International Show.

Love the new web design

Love the new website design!  I am always talking about my Steele Mountaineer trail saddle and recommending you on the horse forums and to people I meet who admire my tack. 🙂

I love my new trail saddle

I can’t tell you how in love I am with this trail saddle. It fits her perfectly and is so comfortable.   Thank you so much for taking the time and patience.

You got it right! I’ve been through 3 other saddles that did not fit and have lost a lot of time and money.  Thank you for making such a great trail saddle

Sincerely Martha Anastasiou
