We both ride Steele Trail Saddles, and LOVE them!

We bought our first Steele trail saddle in 1998, my husband was riding an OLD Heiser saddle which did not fit many of our horses. He is REALLY hard to please, however I ordered him a new Steele Outlaw trail saddle for Christmas. He still rides the saddle today it has thousands of trail miles and still looks great. We have Missouri Foxtrotters all built differently and this saddle does well on all of them.

I have ridden Marciante saddles for 20+ years and love them but they are almost a flat seat. So finally in the Fall of 2011 – I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a Steele trail saddle for myself the Steele Trail Boss Saddle model.

I love this saddle it has the smaller horn which works great for me because I am used to no horn. I also got the new lighter tree and I can saddle myself. After I got the new trail saddle the stirrups would hardly adjust short enough so I contacted Eric and sent the leathers back he shortened them at no charge and got them right back to me in just a few weeks.

One more note, you hardly ever see a used Steele trail saddle for sale and I am convinced it is because the people who have them LOVE them and hardly ever part with them. I’d love to get my husband a new Steele Outlaw saddle, but he won’t have it. He says his outlaw is like a favorite pair of boots they are worn in and fit him perfect!

Customer service is awesome and they guarantee their saddles for life!

I have the Steele Mountaineer trail saddle and I love it. It’s a gorgeous well made high quality saddle. My horse has never moved better and I ave never felt more balanced on her back. And I used to ride a deep seated cutting saddle that was custom made for me.

There is a reason you can almost never find a used Steele saddle for sale and when you do you don’t find them cheap. I got really lucky. A friend of mine had one that fit his horse well but not him so well. It fit me and my horse perfectly. At that I only saved a couple hundred dollars over going through the process of having one built.

The customer service is awesome and they guarantee their saddles for life. When my friend owned mine he had an accident with his horse where he fell off and she went through a fence. She ripped the stirrup fender right off the saddle. He shipped it to the company and they replaced the fender for no cost except for shipping. You can’t tell it ever needed repairs.

I can’t say enough good things about my Steele Trail Saddle.  – Pennsylvania, south of Pittsburgh

We love our saddles!

It has been over a year since we ordered our two Steele saddles.  We are very pleased with them.  You advised us to use the girth strap straight down instead of using it as a center-fire.  We tried it and are very satisfied with how it works.

You also told us that it wasn’t really necessary to use a breast collar or crupper.  We haven’t used either of those and are very pleased.  We trail ride the Big South Fork and ride the difficult trails as much as the trails where we gait.

They are great saddles and we are glad we bought them.

Excellent Service – Dedication

This is my Paso Fino, Lola, in her Mountaineer Steele Trail Saddle. This custom trail saddle fits us both perfectly and allows her the needed movement for gaiting.  It’s great riding on the trails and has saved me more than once in some unexpected jumps. It looks as good in the arena as it is comfortable on the trails. Thanks for all of your patience, we both very much appreciate your dedication and excellent service. p.s. this pic is of our first First Place Ribbon together in Equitation. My horse Tripp with his Custom made Classic Steele trail saddle, LOVE IT!!!!!

When they guarantee their saddles, they mean it!

Thank you to Fred of Steele Trail Saddles for the replacement brass ‘D’ rings for my saddle.  I needed one, he sent me four.   With stout colts to start, spares might be a good idea……Pop went the ‘D’ ring.

I have had my saddle for about 8 or 9 years now I think. He had to go back and check the style of D ring that was used on it, after I sent a picture, and matched it.  When they say they guarantee their saddles, they mean it.indianamike_nindianamike111_nindianamike Michael Murray, (Indiana Mike)
