This is my 2nd Trail Boss as I wanted to try the ‘Hybrid’ style. It’s incredibly comfortable; some days I don’t want to stop riding it’s so comfy! Can’t wait to hit the trails big time next spring, but for the winter I’ll have to be content with arena riding, should be broke in good by then.

In 2007, I bought my first horse, a Morgan gelding. I bought a custom Tennesse Plantation-style saddle at the same time. 15 years later, both Shadow and I are semi-retired. In 15 years, and hundreds, if not thousands of trail rides through mountains, deserts, and redwoods – never a sore back, never a saddle sore, as awesome today as it was 15 years ago. I received my new Platinum Steel Saddle and took it on a 10-day riding/camping trip. The saddle lived up to its reputation. After 8 days and about 180 miles of different terrain, my horse did not have any rub marks or sores. The saddle was my first without a horn and never missed it. Safe, secure, and comfortable. We rode in MO for 2 weeks in June with Best of America by Horseback. Vern got so many compliments on his new saddle. He didn’t get to ride for the past 7 weeks because he had to have surgery for a torn, detached retina and he rode Thursday. I hope to get my saddle back soon. I have loaned it to Jim H. until he gets his. He rode in my saddle and had no pain whatsoever in his knees. I have loaned him mine so he will be pain-free until his arrives. I still love my 20-year-old Steele Saddle that I have had fourteen years. One day we still hope to make a road trip to meet you and your beautiful wife and kids. God bless!
