Check out his is a pic of my Missouri Fox Trotting Mare with the Aussie style saddle. We rode yesterday and I experienced no pain, especially when we finished the ride. I am a trail rider and I can tell you that I will most likely never have to search for another saddle as I absolutely LOVE my Mountaineer! Max, my 17 hand, 1400 pound TWH, had just gone though a growth spurt and had outgrown all of our saddles. Max was very clear in communicating the problem by refusing to move out and by bucking, things he never used to do. Max had always had a bit of a roaring problem but now he was shutting down on the trails. I had even taken him to UT to have him scoped but was told he was fine. By now this old die-hard English rider was ready to even try an endurance or western saddle if they might fit Max. Luckily my husband suggested I look at a Steele Saddle. At my wits end, I did. I found your site and read all the information and thought “A free trial, why not?”. And I’m very glad I did.
Thank you so much for helping me find a saddle that functions so exceedingly well. I was starting to feel like I would never find a saddle that was not only comfortable for me, but also comfortable for my horse. On September 1st 2016, Deanna, along with her husband Garrett Davis, will be embarking on a trail ride across the Appalachian Mountains. Their mission is to raise awareness for two organizations – the Conquer Cancer Foundation and The Heart of Stone Foundation. Deanna and Garrett will be riding over 500 miles to collect donations for the cure.
We here at Steele Saddle will donating two of our saddles to help them with their journey. We are proud to be a part of their endeavor and supporting such a worthwhile cause.

Your saddle is entirely too comfortable. No complaints from me in any department. Nothing hurt during or after the ride. High praise from a 58 year old woman who broke her back at 25, was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at 35, has replacement parts all through her body and had back surgery this past year. Kudos on your saddle design. You may have just extended my future riding years. As for my horse Max, he seemed very happy and forward moving. He went as well as he’s ever gone with more pep. I make assumptions here, it could have been the cool, windy weather. Whatever though, we had a great ride today and I look forward to hearing from you about the next step in designing our saddle. – Kay F.
Received my Steele Frontier Trail Saddle just in time for me to ride a week of trail riding in the Smokys! It was awesome. No issues or soreness with a brand new saddle. Love, love it! (It was worth the wait)
