We appreciate our customers!

Our customers are the best advertising we could ever hope for and we sincerely appreciate their efforts on our behalf.    This is from Kellie

Steele Saddles, excellent saddles.  That’s where I bought mine.  After owning Circle Y saddles, it will be the last saddle I ever purchase.  I ride a 1/2 Arab, stocky, short back – fits him perfectly. They have a demo program.   Kellie

In response to her friend asking:  I’m looking for some saddles to purchase for my short backed Arabians, must be round skirted western / pleasure / trail / endurance saddle. I would really like an Arab tree because I know that fits one of the horses already, at least Circle Y saddles, and the seat needs to be between 15 and 16 inches. And does anyone know of any saddle shops? I only know of Horse and Rider in Mckinney.  Crystal

The saddle that best suits her needs is our New Endurance Trail Saddle which features our lightweight cedar tree weighing in at about 17 pounds.  SEE LINK

My Steele Saddle, PRICELESS!!

When I talked to Eric about purchasing a Steele Saddle, he told me that it has helped riders with back pain?? It was hard for me to believe this statement and I was in disbelief.  Since riding in my new Steele Saddle Classic for just one week, I have lost about 50% of my pain in my back. I can tie my shoes in the morning, walk straighter, and I am well balance in the saddle. Plus my horse just gets better each time that I ride him. It was so hard to fit a saddle for him, that I was getting discouraged. If you do have any doubt in purchasing a Steele Saddle, I truly believe in their demo program.

It was well worth it and Eric will treat you right. This decision that I chose for my horse and myself was “Priceless”.   And if it does come down to the money that “Steele” charges for their saddles: well:: it was the proper fit for the horse, rider, and I can ride again, and I felt like they built this saddle for just me.. PRICELESS!!

Love you two Eric and Fred (Thank you Tammy)

I was able to repurchase my first Steele Plantation Saddle

Just got finished putting the final touches on a saddle I have been working on…..I was able to repurchase the first Steele Plantation saddle I ever bought….it had been out of use for awhile so the leather was barn dirty and dry and all the brass hardware had tarnished….but elbow grease….saddle soap….black rock…tarnx and a drill ……plus all afternoon and evening it’s looking good again….love my Steele Plantation trail saddle.

Steele Saddles Go Anywhere

Awesome saddles, we have two Mountaineers and love them.  I wish I’d been able to try one sooner.  I never get sore and have not had one issue with the horses having a sore back either.  I have tried many other “good saddles” but had several issues.  First problem we had was a bad fit for the horses.  This was a big problem as often as we ride.  Then we’ve had some issues with comfort for us (not as big a deal but worth mentioning).  After trying a Steele Mountaineer trail saddle, that’s all my wife and I ride.  I would and do recommend Steele trail saddles to our friends and anyone who asks about them on the trail.

Good people to deal who make a very quality product.  A lot of companies say stuff like “made for hunters by hunters” etc. but it is pretty cool to know and see that these saddles are really made by people that actually do ride and camp like we do.

Nothing is better than receiving photos from our customers showing how much they enjoy trail riding on their Steele saddles.  These customers have a matching set of our trail saddles and exhibit the “can do attitude” of trail riding!  Thank you so much for sharing these pictures of your horses on the trails with our saddles.

My new saddle is beautiful!

Beau has had 4 rides in his new Steele saddle.  He is really comfortable.  Actually the first ride, I think he thought he was bareback, he was a handful!   I used the neats foot oil and turned the stirrups in a week.

I used the wool felt pad the first time, but used the TackyToo for the next 3, and it worked better with the saddle.  I have a perfect sweat line, good foxtrot and comfortable canter.  It puts my rear where it should be for a long foxtrot without any effort .  The extra strings and rings make it completely functional for jackets, water bottle, etc.  I will send you a picture on my next ride.

Besides all that, It is beautiful, the workmanship is top shelf.  I’m wrestling with the stirrup length,  down, is comfortable for riding, but I can’t get my leg over the cantle,  up one notch feels too short.   My legs are not particularly long, but I like  my stirrups longer – feel more secure and easier to keep forward and sit deep.  The breast collar is very functional which I love, it is not just decoration but holds the saddle firm up steep hills and wide & flat enough not to cut into his chest.

A friend of mine called you, he saw my saddle and  is really impressed with it but said he can’t get past not having a square skirt . I  shook my head and asked him if was trail riding or going in a parade. Unnecessary leather is a big part of what makes it light. Jeez

I am going to send back the reins.  I have a set of reins I got in Tennessee that are thin and rounded where your hands are.  I love them and am moving them to the headstall which I do like a lot.  Thanks for all your guidance and working with me.  Anne
